Soul of Africa - A wilderness experience - Mon Nov 25 2002
Walking safaris/Wilderness trails

Description : A Wilderness Experience with Chris and Sylvia Black 25 November - 13 December 2002 (19 days) “In wilderness we are confronted with ourselves, reflected in the light of nature’s innocence, and we are nudged to reconsider personal values, purpose and destiny.” We are privileged on this spiritual journey to explore one of our planet’s first proclaimed areas of true wilderness, Umfolozi, where the wilderness ethic was pioneered 45 years ago by Dr Ian Player, founder of the World Wilderness Foundation. Many lives have since been changed through personal encounter with the untamed Zululand bush, rich in cultural heritage. Others have been touched by the pristine dune forests, lake and seashores of the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park or the mountain splendour of the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park, both recently proclaimed World Heritage Sites. All three of these unique natural areas are part of our journey as we explore and discover the ‘Soul of Africa’.
